Kano Kawara

A singer-songwriter from Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.

She is known for her rich, resonant voice—shaped by her unique vocal technique—and lyrics that depict a worldview as vast as the deep sea or outer space.

In 2018, while a senior in college, she began performing music on a casual basis, primarily in her hometown of Himeji, and expanded her live performances beyond the prefecture starting in 2022. She then embarked on a nationwide tour in 2024 and is currently performing actively across Japan.

2018: Released the demo track “Manta.”

2022: Released the three-track CD “Tokimeki.”

2024: Released the mini-album “In Love with the Sea.”

The following year, the track “Manta” from the album was featured in a commercial for Seibu Building Maintenance, and “Bubble” was featured in a commercial for Meiko Gijuku.

November 2025: Released her latest album, “Bookmark of Sound Leaves,” featuring 11 songs performed as solo acoustic performances.
