.jvkn

.jvkn is a music project led by JuKan Tateishi, an artist working across music, art, and video.

The project is characterized by tracks themed around motifs hidden within modern society, such as post-internet human relationships, mathematical concepts, and mythology. The key visuals and videos spawned from these conceptual tracks are created using diverse contexts alongside fellow creators built up across various disciplines. By directing these elements himself, he further expands the world of his music, earning widespread attention for high-quality creative work alongside the audio releases.

In addition, he runs "Walkthrough" on YouTube—described as "a traveling song document that is neither a music video nor a live show." In this series, he travels with a single camera and microphone through diverse natural and urban locations at home and abroad, singing as he walks to trace an experience through scenery and sound. Through a rich vocabulary for interpreting diverse forms of music, .jvkn creates pop music for a new era.
