HUGEN

Launched in 2024, HUGEN is a music project led by TP (vocals/PC) and joined by hamachi (percussion), Shumpei Kuzuma (bass), and Kenta Tanizaki (saxophone). Rooted in electronic music, their sound blends elements of folk and traditional music to create alternative, genre-defying works.

TP’s lyrics-marked by unpretentious words that capture everyday emotions and scenery such as connection, love, and kindness—are another hallmark of the project.

In only their second year, they were selected to perform at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’25 ROOKIE A GO-GO, and contributed the theme song for NHK E-tele drama “Kikenakatta Ano Koto” in collaboration with singer-songwriter Saho Terao. Based in Shimokitazawa’s Spread, they are actively performing and producing new music.
