Johnnivan is a Japanese/US/Korean multinational rock band formed in 2018 with Johnathan Suillivan (Vo.) and Shogo Takatsu (Keys.).  All members are from Waseda University and met in a common music circle. The band has been appearing in Tokyo's live house scene since 2018, and has so far performed at SUMMER SONIC and other large festivals, creating a buzz. The band's unique style and physical, high-quality live performances have won them acclaim from many quarters, making them unique in the Japanese indie industry.

Their music, which incorporates a wide range of genres under the theme of "CLASSIC × DANCE × ELECTRO", should be experienced by all music fans. Their second album "Give In!",released in November 2022, has been picked up by radio hosts and media at home and abroad, including Matt Wilkinson and Mino's Music, and their song "Otherwise" was selected for Apple Music's The 100 Best Songs of 2022, and received other high acclaim.

In December 2023, they released  their first new single in a year, "Kayoesque", and held a successful event at Shibuya WWW X. In 2024/1, they released their second single, "Final Girl", and also perfomed at Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2024.

Their live performance in Okinawa led them to perform at the DMZ Peace Train Music Festival in South Korea, Where they had a very successful first overseas performance to an audience of several thousand people. They are currently working on their third album, while counting to be energetic and vigorous in both live performances and releases.
