百合花Lilium

Formed in 2014, Lilium (百合花) is a rock band from Taipei.

Their debut album “燒金蕉 | Sho Gim Jio” (2019) fused rock’n’roll with music rooted in Han Chinese culture, earning them both the Best Rock Album Award and Best New Artist Award at the Golden Indie Music Awards, as well as a nomination for Best Taiwanese Album at the Golden Melody Awards that same year. Their 2021 Taiwanese-language album “不是路 | Pu̍t-sī-lōo” incorporated yueqin (moon lute) vocal techniques, blending elements of disco-funk, bossa nova, metal, and synthwave with humor and satire to create a new generation of Taiwanese pop music. The album went on to win the Best Taiwanese Album Award and Best Album Design Award at the Golden Melody Awards.

In 2024, they released their third album “萬事美妙 | Bān-sū bí-biāu,” combining progressive rock, reggaeton, and metal with Taiwanese lyrics, using a hybrid of traditional folk melodies and rhythmic experimentation to deliver an uplifting and celebratory sound.
