SOMAOTA

An MC from the Kansai-based hip-hop collective Black petrol, who recently performed at major festivals such as SUMMER SONIC 2023, FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2024, and China’s largest festival, STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVAL.

As a solo artist, he has also appeared at numerous festivals including Taiwan’s “Neon Oasis Fest ’24 霓虹綠洲音樂祭,” “Subtropical Vol.2,” and “Yui no Oto 2025.”

He has released three EPs, including his signature work “Nori Nori Daze,” along with several singles. Guided by the belief that “life and music are inseparable,” he channels the discomforts and questions he feels in everyday life into his songs.

After seven years of activity in the Kansai region, he moved to Tokyo in 2024 to fully pursue his music career. In November 2024, he successfully held his first solo concert “SOMAOTA ONE-MAN SHOW Trans.” His latest single, “Alter Ego feat. Sorane” (SOMAOTA & Funny Factures), is set for release in June 2025.
